2008 is the seventh year for Wunder Studios incredible workshop programs. These life-changing experiences give students time to work with professional musicians, singers, directors and actors to practice, build skills, and get constructive feedback on their work. The workshops are confidence-building experiences that get incredible results. Contact us at 847/685-2030 or ask@wunderstudios.com if you have questions about any of our programs.
Drummers! Bassists! Singers! Guitarists! Keyboard players! Join us for an incredible week as we make music and explode the myths of the rock business. Immerse yourself in the world of rock. Work and jam side-by-side with music professionals and get straight answers from people who have been there. This program has something for everyone, whether you're working on a new riff or just getting started. Even if you're a beginner, by the end of the week you'll be on stage cranking out an original tune in front of a live audience on the main stage at the Taste of Park Ridge.
The workshop includes sessions on song writing, the music business, dealing with live sound, microphone technique, and master classes with incredible guest performers. You'll be able to talk with them, learn the tricks of the trade, and in some cases even perform for them. Recent guests have included: Grammy award winning song writer Jim Peterik (of the Ides of March and Survivor); guitar master and recording artist Neal Alger; Rob Bonaccorsi (guitarist for the Freddy Jones Band), Ralph Covert (Grammy nominated front man and songwriter for the Bad Examples and Ralph's World); Dag Juhlin (solo recording artist par excellence and member of Poi Dog Pondering and the Slugs); guitar wizard Frank Portolese; Grammy nominee Cathy Richardson (independently produced recording artist and winner of DIY awards for producer of the year and album art of the year); and personal manager Roger Jansen. You must be at least twelve to participate.
The Rock Workshop is not part a national chain like most other rock camps - the Rock Workshop is entirely based in Chicago! Click HERE to visit rockworkshop.com or to register.
At the seventh annual Vocal Performance Workshop you will be free to explore your abilities and unleash your potential as a soloist. Learn what it takes to succeed. This is a unique opportunity to improve your performance skills. You will work with highly qualified professionals to refine your vocal technique and examine every aspect of how you prepare, how you present yourself, how you feel about performing, and how you relate to your audience. Perform your choice of opera, art song, jazz, pop or musical theatre. The workshop includes five private coaching sessions, five master classes, our incredible audition workshop, and the full attention of our uncommonly supportive staff. Concludes with a performance. The workshop is limited to 18 students by audition only. Previous participants have ranged from age 14 to 68, so adult students are always welcome. You must be at least 14 to participate.
